Weekly Sightings
3 Attachment(s)
ive decided since i see quite a few pre 72 chevys and gmc's that i wanted to make a thread and as i see them, ill take pics and post them on here. i figure that maybe it will give other people ideas of what to do with their truck or at least have some pics of different trucks to look at. ill be posting mainly 60-72, but if i see a square body that is cool looking i may post it. if anyone out there is looking for inparticular trucks let me know, im sure ill find one. subscribe you you want and ill upload as i see them. just going to be a collection of old trucks.
the first pic was a long bed gmc. saw him this morning at the local gas station/breakfast stop. #2 was a '67 longbed step side, original 327 pulled out, now a 305 with a 4spd. # 3 i couldnt get a good pic of, its about a 71/72 longbed. very very clean, rallys and all. anyone is welcome to join and upload pics they have. |
Re: Weekly Sightings

Re: Weekly Sightings
I need to get a camera in my service pickup....I'm constantly seeing these things when I'm out in the country running service calls and the camera on my work phone more than sucks!

Here's one, a '69 C20 that's across the street from my favorite Chinese restaurant.

Re: Weekly Sightings
Mixed feelings on this one guys, maybe at least shade/black out the licence plates. Just because you dont have any bad intensions when taking a picture and posting doesn't mean everyone else on the web wouldn't either. Call me paranoid if ya want, but this day and age alot of people (who shouldn't) have access to getting exact address location information from a national state licence data base. Mel :chevy:

Re: Weekly Sightings
Two more I've got pics of, the first was in either Montana or Oregon when I was out there on business, the last is on my fiance's road.

Re: Weekly Sightings
Here is a very clean 67 c/20 i saw last week at a service station about a half hour from me. I turned around to check it out. Looked to be very original, except for the hubcaps. If you'll notice on the hubcaps, the bowtie is painted the color of the body. Pretty cool touch i thought. Truck had CA plates on it... must have made it's way to the right coast somehow

Re: Weekly Sightings
Very cool idea guys. IMHO the 60-66 guys and squares would appreciate it as well. Maybe you can post those years in the appropriate forums so all can enjoy.

Re: Weekly Sightings

Re: Weekly Sightings
Het sir_talk_alo ...
Great idea. I think it would be :c2: to start a thread in each forum. For example in this forum keep it 67-72 and in the 60-66 trucks in the related forums and so forth. Again its a neat idea. :metal: |

hey guys, its up to yall, if you want ill make this thread for specific years, or if i can make it in a general section of the forum. its mainly for 67-72, but im welcoming anything from 60-87(last of the squares). so here are a few today. ill upload a few more monday. i have quite a few.
#1&2 are a 64 stepper that made my jaw drop. the #3 is a 67 or 68 stepper thats jacked up with like 40s and its next to me. ive got a cool burb from the 60s, a few swbs and a poor old 73 stepper getting neglected ill upload monday. glad you guys are enjoying this thread. |

Hey guys, got some new ones.
#1 is a classic old 'burb #2 is a neglected old stepside that has seen better days. bout a '79. #3 sorry for bad quality, i was driving and there were water droplets on window from carwash. this is an absolutely stunning 71/72, rally wheels, original paint, just a gorgeous restored to original truck. |
Re: Weekly Sightings
lol......this is a poor man's "cars in barns" thread!!!
|
Re: Weekly Sightings
I know. Now I feel the need to drive around town and photo stalk all the Chevy trucks, the sad part is I know where they all are:lol:
