Camper shells, toppers, canopies, lids, whatever you call them, came in all shapes and sizes. Like anything old, condition and quality are everything.
With few exceptions (Alaskan, Avion, etc,) the truck camper market has not yet caught fire. Value is hard to say, but it's not likely worth a ton.
Here's a few period correct units for reference. Pure coincidence on the three red trucks.

Isn't the silver one a Gem Top? I used to have one just like it on a '61. The back door used a weird cable thing to hold it open I think. Mine was missing and the door was a pain in the arse. My louvered glass side winows were busted out and boarded up too. I enjoyed the pic, it brought back some good ol'memories of my first c10.

I like that one! It looks less than pristine though, so value wont be too high. Does it have a door? That particular kind often had really neat green tinted windows lending an especially cool vintage look. There was one like that on a restored truck that was posted here awhile back. I'll try to find it.

Looks like a Gem Top I believe. I remember the green windows. At least it looks like the glass louvers are still there.

My truck is that orange one posted at the top with the Gem Top canopy. Yes, it has a single cable that runs down the middle to hold the door open. It is really pretty neat and works well. I even have the original key to lock it with. Not sure what it's worth but I don't plan on selling it. Having it on there has really kept the bed in good condition.

Here is a thread I started last year on Pullman tops.

I would desperately love to have one in Short Base Fleetside size on my truck.

WOW Dave!!!

At $500.00 the seller is optimistic in my book. I was offered one previously for $100.00 but shipping and damage in transit would kill it.

Still, would absolutely love one.

I have a Winnebago insulated cap that was purchased new in 1972 at a local Chevrolet dealer and installed on a brand new C10. I want to get rid of it and can post pics later.

If he decides not to sell and you're willing to drive to Chico, I have a lead on one in better condition than that one. It was on my father in law's '68. The truck is long gone but the camper is still there on a rack off the ground...

I still have a long fleet Sports Liner. Was going to try to mod it for my step. Seemed a shame to cut it up so I'm going to sell. Have a soft top convertible now. Can't post pics for some reason. No security token?

Wish you were closer. That would make a nice companion piece on my 66 with its original Sports Liner step bumper!!

Digging up this old post to say that I just bought a 1966 Custom Camper pickup and I want to find a great old camper shell like the one Jon posted above on the short fleetside white truck - something like that one, but in real nice shape and for a longbed.

$50 finder fee to any member on here who sends me a lead for a topper I end up buying from your lead!! Needs to not be junk or ugly or damaged etc - i want a survivor because my 8 yr old Cub Scout and I are going to be sleeping under this thing at Pack camp outs!

Adding a couple shots of vintage camper shells I like. Text or call 256 486 1988 if you know anyone hoarding a nice one - thank you guys!
