07 Cruise Control Problem
So my 07 wont allow the cruise to work. Ive checked all threads, read through the "easy fixes" , I have replaced the brake light switch and still no go. I have tried to trouble shoot it to the best of my ability, but I have not been able to make it work. According to everyone else with the problem, its as simple as the brake light switch. Anyone else have any other ideas? Thanks

any ideas??? Still cant figure out the problem.....

Re: 07 Cruise Control Problem
Was it part number A/C Delco# D1586H, GM# 15861245. All you need is a 10mm wrench and a small screwdriver to pry the clip apart? Is that the part you replaced?

Re: 07 Cruise Control Problem
I would be interested to know as well. Just bought a high mile 08 Sierra RCSB... the little light on the steering wheel comes on... no light on the dash to say its engaged....

Re: 07 Cruise Control Problem
check your brake fluid level. if the level is low, it will not allow the cruise control to engage.

Re: 07 Cruise Control Problem
Is there a specific fuse associated with the cruise control?
|
Re: 07 Cruise Control Problem
no fuse. I have a light for my abs on also. I have read that the speed sensors go out and that could be the problem as well. But they are expensive.....

Re: 07 Cruise Control Problem
If the speed sensor was not functioning, the transmission wouldn't be shifting correctly and the speedometer wouldn't be working...
Someone on another board asked if brake bulbs were swapped out recently? My turn signals flash at a fast/erratic rate and it looks like my right rear tail light had water in it (looks corroded)... I'm thinking it may be part of my issue... |
Re: 07 Cruise Control Problem
Thats a good point. I will take a look at my bulbs tonight. I know the lense on my passenger side has a small crack and hole in it.
