The Ponderosa crew cab 64-66

Been loving the lines of the 60' to 66' trucks now for quite sometime and decided to take my passion of building crew cabs for the 67-72 to this year. I have already gathered up a lot of parts for this build. Just got all the cab pieces back from media blasting and am ready to put it on the jig.

it’s good to see another crew cab. I’ve been working on one since 2012. I’ve had 4 back surgeries and 8 nerves burn. This last month i started one more time. I’ve slid a 1962 front cab and a 1966 rear cab together. My b piler is rear of the 60 welded to the a piler of the 66. I’m using full size doors. As in your picture the doors are straighten in the center. I’ve done three of the doors but they still need work. My frame is almost done, it’s extended 41 inches. The front is a 66 c10, the rear half is a 68 k10. It’s being changed to a four wheel drive, which I’ve have alrighty completed. Good luck

Beauty! I am digging your Duke build too. Cool machines man! I am also real partial to the 60-66, great body lines. What are your plans for the drive train, slamming a diesel in this one as well?

Looks like great progress.

What is the body up on the shelf? Another 4 door?

The picture looks like my cab. Did you just slide the cabs together? Looks great

Looks like you need to have someone else do your blasting.

If you are talking about the cab sitting above the booth, you are definitely right. One time deal and an expensive lesson learned. Spectrum does all of my media blasting and powder coating and I am very satisfied with them.

Re: The Ponderosa crew cab 64-66

At first glance it looks as though you split a cab in half and moved the front and back further apart. Upon closer inspection you can see you have split/combined two cabs.
Are you going to have a complete inner metal "stock looking" roof?
Looks great

I'm talking about everything in the pic except the '64-5-6 cab looks not too bad. I heard that Spectrum was closing their doors?

I'm along for this ride. I have had pretty much the same vision of this truck for over 10 years now.
