Drop hangers

The thread on homemade lifts got me to thinking (yeah dangerous) I want to lift my 82 K2500 about 4" I've been looking for lift spring for the front, and was thinking about a shackle flip in the back but that moves the tires fo. I don't like blocks and rear lift spring would lower the towing capacity (right?). So I wondering if making all new hangers that are 4" longer than stock. Keeping same wheelbase and using stock springs. I work for a mechanical contractor and I could lay it out in CAD and get our metal shop to fab them up. Any suggestions and advice would help.

I think they even sell the brackets for the rear. But there is nothing wrong with blocks in the rear, that is safe as long as they are not stacked, mine had a 4 inch block and a 2 inch block stacked, that was dangerous. If just 4 inch use the blocks they are safe and dont change the pay load
