Drug this one home today

I don’t dabble much in the 73-87 stuff anymore. I’ve had a few of them in the past but have shifted to the 67-72’s over the last several years. That said, the price was right on this ‘88 cab and chassis K30. I’ll keep the frame and running gear for my stash. Front 60’s seem to be getting harder/more expensive to find over the last several years. The rest is going to get parted. I’ll post a thread in the parts board when I’m ready to get on it. Rust free straight as an arrow cab and front clip. Not even any rust in the inner fenders. This is one of the nicer square body cabs I’ve seen lately. This is not a for sale add!

If you wasn’t so far away, I’d be interested in the cab and front end, but shipping would kill the deal

1,000 miles isn’t THAT far... when I drive home to Virginia I normally average 1,000 miles in a day.

What do you drive when you come to Virginia? Something that could pull a trailer containing that cab and front clip? :)

Well, I’m headed there for thanksgiving. Was gonna bring my Camaro but I may be able to be persuaded to bring my K2500... we can talk about it more when I hit it on the head in a few weeks I don’t want this thread to turn into a rule breaker. For what it’s worth I’ll be heading to the Winchester area come thanksgiving.

Thinking about this a little more, I'm going to have to pass. If I paid you what that cab is worth, it would cut too deep into my budget.

I'm going to ask around a little. I know a friend of mine is casually interested in doing a squarebody build.

I would suggest though, that you bring the thing east anyway to maximize your sale potential. Start listing it immediately on craigslist, marketplace, this forum, etc, based around Winchester, or even further north. It's bound to be worth a lot more in the rust belt, than it is sitting in the southwest.

Yea for sure. I’ve been talking about bringing it back there since I made the deal on it back at the beginning of summer. I know it won’t last long there.

Nice find! Looks to be an 89-91 V30 though based on the front end.

Easily could be the build date on the drivers door is mid 88 if I remember right.

That's what I figured, probably just an early 89.
