so out of nowhere, This guy from the National Ambulance History association...or something to that effect sends me an email asking if he could get in touch with my dad.. I knew that my Dad had worked for some ambulance services in the late 60's..but that was about the extent of it.. Today he sent me a picture of my Dad back in the day...(farthest to the right) and low and behold...I see what appears to be a 1969 or close 1st gen blazer/ambulance....is this correct??? My dad never said anything about blazers at all since I have been restoring my 72 blazer...but that's pretty awesome if that is indeed a 1st gen blazer...

I think it'd make more sense to be a suburban than a blazer. Maybe it's just my eye but it looks too long in te picture for a blazer. Either would be cool though, especially if you could nab one.

Suburban, look threw the windshield to where the passenger rear door is you can see the windows. Still very cool, picture, cooler since your dad is in it.

Yeah he just confirmed a suburban...he had thought it was a ford for some reason..(he's a ford guy--guess we all have our crosses to bare)... pretty awesome...though...and cool coincidence...

I seen that exact looking "69 ambulance in Jacksonville, FL two weeks ago! Except it was a red suburban type. I was at a red light, sitting in my 72 Blazer and it just cruises through the intersection in front of me. The guy waved... For some reason I was dumbfounded... just stared. It was re-conditioned and looked almost brand new!

A Blazer ambulance would be cool, but only for short patients....
