Cab location dimensions
I need some help from those of you that just might have the cab only mounted to the frame. I am working on a new chassis for my '65 that I can get done without having to take my truck apart. But to do so, I need to know where the cab is in relation to the cab mounts on the frame.
See the attached picture. I need to know the location of the face of the firewall when referenced off of the front face of the front cab mount. I all so need to know where the back of the cab is in relation to the rear face of the rear cab mount. If someone would be so kind as to get those measurements for me, that would be great! and in turn you :metal: Here is my crude drawing of what I need: http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/i...pssziut5ro.jpg |

Re: Cab location dimensions
you would want the measure to the centre of the mount instead of the edge

The last two pictures are going to be very helpful. Some of the dimensions I need reference "letters". Is there are table that lists what these "letters" are for a given chassis? If so, can you post a copy of that table? BTW, is there a 1964, 65, or 66 version of that book? Where could I get a copy of one? |

There is a note in that last side view picture, I think is says: "See 3766945 for floor panel & flat face cowl dimensions" Do you have a copy of the 3766945 drawing? |
Re: Cab location dimensions
it is 28 7/8" from the centre of the frt spindles to the centre of the mount which will give you an accurate measure. 28.7" to be precise.

Thanks!
Aero - that link does not work for me while I am at work. I will try from the house this weekend. Karl |
