My son's 46 Chevy build

I picked up a 46 Chevy truck a few years back to build with/for my youngest son. He is 16 now and learning to drive so we started on the truck. When I purchased the truck the old owner had been gathering parts and we have 2 of almost all the body parts. The truck has not been on the road since 1973 and is in poor shape.

The frame was in bad shape so we are going with an S10 chassis. We found this one for 250 bucks. I had to take the truck and everything on it.....

We had the body stripped off in no time

Time for some cleaning and then cutting off anything we are not going to use.

Making some progress. We have completed the chassis. Getting ready to get the engine and tranny in.

Nice progress on the frame. It cleaned up well. What are the plans for power?

I'm not a fan of S-10 swaps just for the sake of swapping frames but when you don't have a good frame to work with they do work out pretty nice.

Keep those progress reports coming.

When I lived in Texas in the early 70's my buddy had a 41 1/2 ton that he redid with a 396, 4 speed and rear axle out of his 69 Chevelle that had seen better days body wise.

We scored a low mileage TBI 350 and 700r4 tranny a while back that is going in this truck. Its old outdated fuel injection but is very reliable and easy to wire. It will be plenty for a16 year old

I am starting another 42 and have no frame. I do have an s10 frame. What kit are using to adapt the body to the frame? The project is looking great
