Re: 4x4 LS cross member

Correct. My Np205 is bolted back in the factory location with the advance adapter kit installed. You will have to shorten the cross member some. I measured it up to find out about where the cross member would mount and put it in the frame before sitting the engine/trans. Position the cross member so the dip points to the front. It will hit the oil pan if it is pointed to the rear.

I went with the Pac Fab/Tilden crossmember in my 71 K10 5.3L LM7 4L60E swap. I kept the location of the transfer case mount the same. I didn't have to modify the driveshafts at all. The passenger side head is close to the firewall, but does not hit. I ended up using Speed Engineering headers (model 25-1021) because of rear cross member and transfer case. I didn't want mid-length headers aiming directly at the cross member. You can check out my build thread link below if interested. I just finished it up.

Dan, what is your lift size and what wheel/tire combo are you running. I think I have a 4" lift in my blazer but it looks like I have about half the space between the cross member and the front differential. Thanks!

My lift is Skyjacker 2-1/2" lift. They are new springs with zero rate block in the back. My tires are 33 X 12.5 X 15. You can check it out in my thread. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=620627

Thanks! Trying to figure out the lift tire combination for mine and think yours looks great. Mine is 4" but nowhere near the same clearance. Probably just because they are old and sagged.
