2 wheel drive 1974 question please

I have owned a couple of 1972 GMC Jimmy's and am looking at a 1974 Blazer. Was the rear suspension of a factory 2 wheel drive leaf springs or trailing arm and coil springs like the first generation

Thanks

73-82 were leaf spring.
The rear hanger was different than the 4x4 version but they were still leaf spring.

Really only the front rear hanger was different. Difference was it hung down below the frame and the mounts were a little longer. The 2wd bolt holes were different (couple match up) and it sat even with the bottom of the frame.

I’ve seen the 4x4 rear hanger swapped into a factory 2wd frame to raise the rear a little after a flip kit was installed. I’m only talking blazer frames. Not truck or suburban.

What you are talking about is using a 4x4 frame to convert to 2wd.

Either way. The bolt holes don't perfectly line up on either of the two hangers. This is on a early 70's Blazer frame. Don't remember the year but it was a full top that I got it from. Mine was a factory 2wd and we used that to mock everything up on this frame.

Only shot I have right now of the rear hanger.

I guess I'm talking about the REAR hanger of the rear leaf springs.
That picture is the front hanger.
The point is the 2wd and 4x4 (REAR leaf spring) hangers are different.
Thanks for the picture.

Guess I should have said front hanger for the rear axle. ;)

Yeah not sure with the rear hanger as the frame I got didn't have any springs on it so I think the hanger was removed prior to me getting it. Only reason I know about the front one was when we were looking we noticed the difference between my original frame and the replacement one.
