Re: Something different...
Cab off restoration?
|
Re: Something different...
Was that a Photoshop job? I would love to see that one.
ETA: Not a standard Frame so maybe the frame was Shopp'd in or it is a custom frame... |
Re: Something different...
Some just gotta be different!
I bet he bumps his butt in dips in the road! Mike.:chevy: |
Re: Something different...
This is what you get when a backseat driver builds a truck
Why twin turbos? Most people like to make others eat their smoke, but this guy eats his own |
Re: Something different...
… heard of it, but never actually seen a true "Out of Body" experience before, well check that one of the bucket list.:mm:

Re: Something different...
Wow. Strange.
Ohio turnpike. Cool. Close to home. |
Re: Something different...
No fender clearance issues when he turns the wheels
|
Re: Something different...
Wow...he's got a whole theme going on....flipped cab, Olds Fiesta flipper wheel covers & flipped out concept!
|
Re: Something different...
It's a good way to move the gas tank to the rear of the truck, just move the whole cab.....
|
Re: Something different...
Where are the wheelie bars? Unless it's running on one cylinder it's gotta pull the front tires.
|
Re: Something different...
It's just plain ol' strange.....
|
Re: Something different...
Shades of altered wheelbase racing in the 60’s.
|
Re: Something different...
That thing steers from the rear? Either that or the steering linkage is hella long man.
-klb |
Re: Something different...
I wondered about steering, too. I wonder if it's all hydraulic. No bed. Where would you put it, in front of the cab? It's not really a cab & chassis either. More like a chassis & cab.
|
Re: Something different...
Fake. A very good fake, but no way that contraption could be on the road without the cops being all over it. Headlights behind the engine not legal. Steering? Ungainly if he uses the [now] rear wheels. Maybe possible with drive-by-wire tech on front axle, but prohibitively expensive just to make a goofy chassis run. Does the cab have any visable means of support?
Much cheaper to pull off a photoshop hoax. Multi layered, with shot of area between roadsigns to frame it. Set up shots of cab and shot of chassis at same angle, superimpose in ''lane'' then crop at ''realistic'' angle and airbrush in section of steering wheel in foreground. Or show me moving pictures. |
Re: Something different...
The frame don't look normal!
Mike.:chevy: |
Re: Something different...
Looks like a twin turbo V-8 under the... in front of the hood.
|
Re: Something different...
You can see it's a custom frame and I see some under the cab. I see a typical front suspension that steers and a leaf spring solid rear axle. It is going too far for street driven (IMO) even if it was legal in some way. Pushes the envelope into the toilet for those creative builders with more respect for building something somewhat sensible.

Re: Something different...
I've seen another pic of this truck, i"ll try and find it. - Found it now lets see if I can post it.

Re: Something different...
Motion pictures, video, movies. That's what will make me believe it. Otherwise fake until proven real. If real, it's a stupid waste of a '67 Orange cab.

Re: Something different...
It looks like a perfect candidate for a Hot Wheels creation. ;)
