Re: 69-72 Tack & Gauges
Even with serval vendors are selling printed circuit boards, I have fixed these in the past for friends or family trying to keep it on the down low.
An exact-o knife or razor will allow you scrape off the green coating on the printed copper circuit that is damaged, then put some flux on it, melt in enough to get it to bubble & smoke. Then cut and strip some wire that should match the circuits current (Which is not too much), but pre-solder the ends of the wire, hold in place with a soldering gun and solder it in place. Use can use liquid tape over it, but it is probably not needed. Maybe I am just too cheap, Yes I am. Coming from a retired tech who re-treads his lawnmowers drive tires with WeldWood contact cement and uses an old T-belt cut to fit the circumference of the tire. It's like a tire patch, if anyone has done that on a tire or tube. Just sand the back of the T-belt & top of plastic mower wheel. (I made a wood holder for my belt sander to sit in the vise upside down) Clean with thinner, acetone or brake clean, apply contact cement, wrap belt, re-trim ends if needed, then I apply a little more contact cement at the ends. Wrap it with an old serpentine belt and clamp in place with vise grips and leave for a day or two. It last 2 years or more and cheaper than $40 tires with metal drive gears. You get better traction as well. Well, I better go... I have a stack of paper plates to separate...later! |

Re: 69-72 Tack & Gauges
Have to find a box the right size, don't have one on hand. I'll get you a quote tomorrow. Going out to find the right size box, all I have are too small. Sorry about that.

Re: 69-72 Tack & Gauges
That's cool, thanks. How many clusters are you selling? I could use 2 or 3.
|
Re: 69-72 Tack & Gauges
This is the only tack cluster I'm selling, I do have one non-tack cluster plus one real nice non-tack factory printed circuit board. Might put the circuit board up for sale, real nice with no burnt out circuit's.
