So time to update the diesel side.
I have been driving the truck for 2 summers and now have 10,000mi on it. It rides better than anything else I own. Last spring I added cruise control (best thing ever) because we do some long distance traveling. We have driven to Charlotte NC twice and Columbus OH once, pulling out 18' camper. We are getting 14mpg on the highway with the trailer. So we can drive 300mi on 22gal tank. Charlotte trips have been each been over 2000mi in 9 days. I had a really cool article written about my truck.
http://www.stanceiseverything.com/20...diesel-52-gmc/ We have done the Tail of the dragon both ways. It had been a lot of fun. Also I have won a ton of awards, so happy. Attachment 1743753 Attachment 1743756 Attachment 1743757 Attachment 1743758 Attachment 1743759 |

A couple updated pictures with the new rims. Now that I figured out my boost issue I will be hitting the dyno again soon.

Very cool! What was the boost issue? Waste gate issue?

I have a 2 stage boost controller that never worked the way I wanted so I made my own. I run 6psi normal and can flip a sw and go to 12psi. I finally found a place close by that can properly set my timing, so I'm hoping to get that done this spring then I can dyno it. 22,300mi and counting. |
