'71 C10 front lowering
1 Attachment(s)
I have had this truck for 20+ years, it was my dads.
Have blocks in the rear for drop, am happy with ride height. It's time for a front end rebuild, all stock now. Thinking Western drop spindles, but I also have a complete 73 or 74 front frame clip. Is there any real advantage to doing a complete front crossmember swap on a '71? Or do I just fit for the arm swap? 2 different PN's for 71-2 and '73 up spindles, I believe the tie rod is the only diff? Thanks for any help |

No reason at all to do the crossmember swap.
If you do you lose the steel brake tab that the 71-72 trucks have. I see no reason to swap the a-arms unless you just want rubber bushings over your steel bushings. If it was mine I would keep the suspension original. Plus the added drop spindles of course. |

Thats the direction I'm leaning....
Was thinking of trying the Moog offset upper cross shafts to try for a bit more caster as well.... |
