'71 C10 front lowering

1 Attachment(s)
I have had this truck for 20+ years, it was my dads.
Have blocks in the rear for drop, am happy with ride height.
It's time for a front end rebuild, all stock now.
Thinking Western drop spindles, but I also have a complete 73 or 74 front frame clip.
Is there any real advantage to doing a complete front crossmember swap on a '71?
Or do I just fit for the arm swap?
2 different PN's for 71-2 and '73 up spindles, I believe the tie rod is the only diff?

Thanks for any help

No reason at all to do the crossmember swap.
If you do you lose the steel brake tab that the 71-72 trucks have.
I see no reason to swap the a-arms unless you just want rubber bushings over your steel bushings.
If it was mine I would keep the suspension original.
Plus the added drop spindles of course.

Thats the direction I'm leaning....
Was thinking of trying the Moog offset upper cross shafts to try for a bit more caster as well....
