You got it! The circa 1970 OEM GMC Truck patch (white with red).

I finally purchased some new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires for my 8" rally rims: 255/70/15. Check out the thread at http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=282571

BTW - Are you heading up to Monroe this weekend for the 35th annual swap meet (Monroe Fairgrounds)? If the weather cooperates, I'll be there.

a bit different. Didn't come from GM this way. :D

1983 GMC K30 that's been converted to a short bed. It has 14B FF rear and D60 front. SM465 4 spd with Granny Lo and an NP205 transfer case. It currently has 4.56 gears in it. It was being used as a pulling truck by the previous owner.

It's gonna getting a Duramax/Allison combo and most likely will also swap out all of the driveline for that from a modern 2500HD (hoping to find a complete donor truck with D/A and good driveline). Probably gonna run the transfer case and rear end from a D/A truck as well. GM D60 will be swapped out for a Ford or Dodge D60 front if I go with the modern transfercase. If I stick with the 205, then I'll also stick with the GM D60. It's just that the 205 doesn't have real low gear in 4LO whereas the 2500HD transfer case is like 2.92:1 IIRC. I'd almost have to get the 3:1 kit for it but they are so dang high I'd be money ahead swapping to the 2500HD transfer case. It's gonna be a pulling truck for the most part but no worries, it's still gonna be nice with a complete interior and WILL be perfectly streetable. It's not gonna be trashed like some pulling trucks become. ;)

I've got some more pics of it at the house.

Mine has been posted here before, but not with the new changes I've made. I'm putting Bushwacker cut-out flares on soon, and a light bar on top.

Thanks! Long time, no see. That Dick Cepek light bar's going on this one when I get ready to stick that roll bar I got from ya into the 87. How's things up north? Sick of the rain yet? We've been deluged, pumped about 5ooo gallons of flood water out of our garden this week.

I wish except for the paying for gas part, it's a 350/350 set-up with a edelbrock intake, HEI, and true dual exhaust. P/O was a master of Disney technology so I've had to fix some of his Mickey Mouse repairs. sheet metal is in good shape exception of cab corners and a few dings all very repairable.
