hinged taillights
Hello from the 73-87 board! I'm in the middle of putting a fuel cell under my bed between the frame. For my filler neck I wanted to hinge one of the taillights and run it there. I was impressed with myself on this idea until I was informed that plenty of 67-72 guys had done this. I know there's quite a bit of difference between the taillights, but any suggestions, tips, and definitely pictures, would be appreciated.

WES has a description of how to hinge your side marker on his site. I haven't ever seen the tail light hinged, except for on my dad's '48 Caddilac.

Hinged tail light
I remember a post like that I think it was in Paint & Body, but I'm not sure I'll see If I can find it for ya! It looked pretty trick, but If I were to do it I would do it through the side marker, since the side marker setup looks easier to access.

Found it!! Here ya go (hopefully, the link works):

smokekiki - thanks! My top is an old kayline. It works great but the back zippers are shot. I need to take it to a shop and have them replaced but there are so many other things I want/need to do first.

Thanks for the information everyone! My install will be a little different than the taillight or side marker setup shown, but that tells me what I need to do. I'll come back with pics of my install.
