Fuel Line - Diesel

is the standard Zinc (Steel) fuel line OK for diesel? Described as "OE-type double wall copperized steel tubing coated with galvanized zinc for superior rust protection". Much cheaper than Stainless. In Texas so no beaches or raod salt.

Re: Fuel Line - Diesel

I'd say so. I've used regular new brake line for running fuel lines and pick up tubes before. None of those trucks ever had an issue and they see road grime and stuff.

Re: Fuel Line - Diesel

The only line I have been told you don't use for diesel is pure copper. They say it will cause a chemical reaction and mess up the fuel system. I do not know if this is true just what I have been told. I have seen many old antique diesel with copper fuel lines though.
