Tubular A-Arms

has anyone installed tubular A-Arms on the 67-72 chevy trucks and if so what are some good companys to look in to. thanks

fastbagged68 05-04-2004 02:23 AM

I would say Bill Turner but you will have to wait for parts and you can never get ahold of him. I might start making my own for these trucks.

phantom dually 05-04-2004 09:11 PM

I agree SAY NO TO TURNER. I would not send that guy another dime. He is a cheat liar and a theif.

LowSeventy 05-05-2004 06:30 PM

Ouch! I thought Bill Turner was doing so great with his new frames and crossmembers. What happened? I was thinking about getting that crossmember from him for my '70.

phantom dually 05-05-2004 09:43 PM

Turner actually started out as a great guy. I bought over 2k worth of parts from him. He took way to long to get things to you and now he cannot be reached. I sent him a set of airbags in which he offered to switch out for another style for me. Well that was over 6 months ago. I got burned for about $150 and got no call or reply. I call him atleast one time a day 5 days a week and get no answer or call back after leaving a message. I dont even care about the bags now I just want to know why he F'd me after I spent so much money with him.

chevytruckfan 05-05-2004 10:21 PM

Chassis engineering, Fatman Fabricatoins, and Heidts are all reputable companies with excellent products. Good luck on your project.

LowSeventy 05-06-2004 11:03 AM

Wow. Thanks Phantom, I'll be spending money with some else, not Turner Enterprises.

GMCGRANDS 05-07-2004 11:23 PM

I am by now means defending Bill. But from what I understand Bills wife had to have surgery, and has been in the hospital. I have bought alot from him and he is slow to build and ship. Keep in mind alot of the items he builds he customizes for his customers application. He seems to be knowledgeable and parts have been good quality. He also seems to be ahead of others with new and different items. I have had the best luck with e-mail.

That's surprising..... I had always heard what a "nice guy" he was. I guess you can't judge a book by its cover.

Fatman Fabrications

I personnally recommend Fatman Fabrications, their engineering seems far superior. they focus on more than the belly-button street rods
just my $.02

I am not sure what happened to their "presence", but they are still in business. I purchased some drop leaf springs from his son (Steve) for my project. From what I gathered from him they were doing well and still in the business.

Stylinconcepts out of Ohio carries DJM suspension parts. I put them on my 72' and it looks sweet! Lots of good reviews on the DJM line. Stylinconcepts has the best price

I've got upper/lower DJM tubular arms on my wifes 98 and they fit great and aligned to stock spec. :D

You keep telling us this but you haven't given us any details, pricing, indication of functionality or quality, etc. Let us know this kind of information and you may have more orders than you can stand.

As of today "mid-October" really means 'end of October' (slip slidin' away)

Slammed67 09-15-2004 01:25 PM

Hell, that's only about "2 weeks" away!

chevy69er 09-22-2004 06:38 AM

Yes, AIM operates under quite a number of dba's.

From the BBB--

This company also does business as:
A.I.M. INDUSTRIES;
AIM;
AIM - AMERICAN INNOVATIVE MANUFACTURING;
AMERICAN INNOVATIVE MANUFACTURING and
PRO TOP.

XXL 09-23-2004 03:05 PM

ART says they have control arm pieces in house and ready to jig up and weld. Figure 2 weeks for weld and powder coating.

Also, they expect to price these things today.
