What does it take to put a new style bed on a 71 GMC

A while ago I talked about a 71 3/4 4X4 GMC that I'm getting and still sight un-seen I did send my buddy back up there with a list of things to look for.
We now know it's a 71 GMC with a D60 rear and a D44 Front 350/350/205 No rust (that has been found) on the Cab. It is a long bed with a one piece utility (sp) Bed I had hoped for the one that Longhorn talked about.

Now to the question I have seen trucks with the newer beds just how hard is it to put one on a 70's frame? And if anyone has a pic of a long bed throw it up. Thanks

Cethern

Oh when I get up there this coming weekend I'll get pic's

I have only seen one of our style trucks that was a long bed with a newer style bed on it. it didnt look bad i had to do a double take but at closer look the bed had blocks under it so it would line up body wise with the cab. it was interesting to see. all the other ones i see are newer style beds that are steps on our style trucks...... not many fleets. I think if done correctly it wouldnt look that bad, personally i was thinking about doing it myself untill i found a new floor for my truck.

Best of luck
Rat
