I ordered my gauges today!!!!

Finally broke down today and ordered up all of my autometer gauges to go into my new dash cluster. I ordered all pro-comp gauges. Here are the ones that I ordered.

5” 160 mph speedo – 5154
5” 10K tach – 5160
2-5/8” voltmeter – 5492
2-5/8” fuel level – 5415
2-5/8” vacuum – 5484
2-5/8” water temp – 5437
3-3/8” oil pressure – 5505 (ebay!! Autometer discontinued this size)

I can’t wait to get them all in!

Those are all my exact guages, I love them. Good luck!

Congrats! I know choosing aftermarket gauges is one of the hardest decisions youll have to make because i took that leap about a month ago. Youll have to post some pics when you get them installed. I LOVE aftermarket clusters on these trucks. :metal:

By the way....

"DO NOT" !!!!! hook your Fuel gauge to the wire that goes to the factory one.... You'll blow your Autometer gauge out !!!!!!!!

either run a complete new wire directly from the sending unit at the tank, or bypass the circuit at the firewall junction box.

By chance, does anyone have pics of an all-aftermarket guage install in both the bezel and a Just Dashes full-coverage dash with the three-guage built-in pod? Bling bling.

thanks for the heads up!

I think I covered it pretty well in the F.A.Q. , Also, in an Addition, you will have to figure some place to put your high beam indicator light...( still haven't figured mine out for sure)
And you will have to carefully cut the turn signal indicator "Arrows" out of the bezel back plate If you want to maintain the Arrow look. ( Cut them round like the cardboard) and I siliconed them to the round cardboard pieces that "Guide" the light to the front of the Bezel..

There is no other article that I know of besides my own. I stole this idea from Thor 50 who used to be a regular here.. And he didn't document anything when he did his.

Like I typed, If you have any Questions let me know.

Mudder 12-09-2004 01:50 PM
