Need Fender Flare install tips

I just bought a set of OEM takeoff flares for my '00 Z71. I know you need the thin 3M tape, the factory clips, and to clean the fenders good. The flares are used and still have the old 3M tape on them so I stuck em to the truck to see how they would look. That tape is really sticky. Is there any special way to put them on and get it right the first time?

The way I do the new ones is clean the paint real good with a degreaser so the tape will stick, then put the pops in to hold them in place and get em lined up, then peel the covering off the two sided tape and press them on firmly. The tape that come on them has extra lil piece fo the covering that sticks out tho, might be a lil more difficult with replacement tape.

Thanks Josh. I should be getting some factory clips by the end of this week. I hope to have them on soon.

Thanks for the tips Josh. I got them installed a couple months ago but only snapped pics yesterday. I think they make the truck look better.
