Finally downloaded Ghost flames!

Here are a few pics I took of my truck Saturday night at a car show. The flourescent lighting works well with Ghosting. In the daytime, the flames show the blue pearl darker than the body. All of the tips of the flames about 6" in have silver metallic flakes that sparkle when light hits them, usually in the sun. You can't see that in these pics. :bowtie:

Sweet paintjob
Did you do it yourself? I painted my 83 blazer-beater and attempted to put some nice yellow flames on it. Sucks though, the thing looks more like it has melted cheese on the front or something but definately not flame-resembling.
|
that is way nice and i'm not a big fan of flames but i have never seen them done like that before.
|
OH YEAH!!! Great job! Sweeet!
|
Always loved flames even when they weren't in style

Funny as heck! |
Awesome.. what color is that base blue? I've been looking for a color just like that..
|
Patrick, The base color is BASF color max brand. I don't know the code off the top of my head or the name of it.
Chevy409 and JunkyardJohn- I didn't spray it myself. I gave the body shop a drawing of the style of flames I wanted and $700 cash. They repaired some rust blemishes on the hood and fenders, repainted front clip including doors and re-cleared. I was happy with the price but the shop did jerk me around a little (2 months). :bowtie: |
Makes me want to cry. I had a Dark Metallic Green "72 with silver pearl ghost flames. Scary how similar the pattern is. I sold the truck to a guy in Ok. City 5 years ago when I moved to Florida. I needed money to put down on a house. I sat in my garage and cried for an hour, drank a six pack, and cried some more. I should of kept the truck, the house turned into a losing deal. SOrry to ramble, I'm still hurting.
P.S. Cool truck. Beautiful. "Not enough O's is SMOOOOOOOOTH ":bowtie: |
wow that is intense....i wonder what ghost flames cost? i heard the piant was a lot, a friends dad did his 35 f@rd an ugly purple but awesome flames....do u have to get them right aftr the truck is painted or does it just have to be mint?
