Truck Identification

I recently purchased a GMC Super Custom truck and was wondering how I could I.D. what features it had from the factory. I have problem though. I know you're supposed to be able to do it through the number that is tagged in the glove box, but my truck doesn't have it. It was restored and the glove box was taken out, which had the model number tag on it. My question is, how do I do it now? Can I do it through the vehicle I.D. number somehow? This is really bugging me,because it is real important to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the options sheet is missing (it was on the glove box door, not in the glovebox) it's going to be real tough to determine exactly what options were available on your specific truck.

A couple of suggestions:

1) See if you can find the build sheet - look in the springs behind and under the seat and anywhere else in the cab that's hard to get to.

2) Try to get a restoration package. I don't know if they are still available, but it's worth a shot. Look here for info on getting the package - http://www.chevytrucks.org/tech/restpak.htm. It won't tell you exactly your truck's options, but it will list the options available for your VIN number truck.

Good Luck!
