newbie from Denver

Howdy! I'm in Parker, CO, and just joined. I have a '72 C-10 LWB that my dad bought new. Been wanting to do a restoration/customization of it for years, but now I need to unload it. I wanted to list it for sale here but see I have to be a subscriber or something, so now I have to try something else.

I don't really WANT to sell it, but I need to. I got it from dad in '95 or so, with 45,000 miles on it. When he passed away in Dec. '04, I ended up with a paid for 2000 Silverado and a 1956 Willys CJ5 Jeep. So the Silverado fills my truck needs, and the Willys is the focus of my wrenching lust now. I need to sell the C10 to finance the Jeep restoration, plus I don't have a place to work on or store it.

Any other way to pay besides PayPal? I don't trust 'em.

Thanks all! Here's a couple of shots of Ol' Blue, she's always been a good ol' truck, I wish I could fix 'er up the way she deserves.

It's a shame you have to sell it. You should sell the jeep to finance restoring the truck.;)

Welcome to the board from Colorado Springs, too bad you have to sell it I would just keep it until you can start to restore it.

Welcome also. Your Dad's ol' truck would turn a lot more heads that a jeep will. I think you will regret it later. I know I have plenty of times. Restore the truck and let the jeep go. It was your Dad's and just know you will be making a mistake. MO

Re: newbie from Denver

Sorry guys, the Jeep ain't going nowhere!!! It's a 1956, same year I was born. It's original date of sale was 3 days after I was born. And, it was my dad's also! I used to drive it around when I was a teenager, so we've got a history. I would prefer to keep them both, and get rid of the wife. That would finance both projects right there. I also need to move to a place with a bigger garage or a shop.

Keep in mind the '56 Willys Jeep was my dad's too! I bet if I'd gotten a '56 Harley Panhead from him, you'd say to keep the truck and sell the Harley to fix up the truck too, huh? I live Colorado, and I can use the Willys in all kinds of places the C-10 couldn't dream of going.

I'm sending in my check for the subsrciption right now, so hopefully I'll be posting a for sale thread soon.
