Here are some before and after pics of my engine. It was a simple rebuild w/Edelbrock intake, carb and cam and a K&N 14x4 air cleaner with a K&N stub stack. The headers are FlowTech HPC coated. I run a stock HEI with Accel 300+ wires. The parts pic is from a year ago my wife and I were renting a 2 bedroom apartment while we house shopped (just moved to Ontario, NY from Arkansas) and she was not to happy with parts all over the place ( NO GARAGE ) the valve covers are powder coated with Chevy orange all the brackets are powder coated black. I added a few more items lately( chrome master brake cover , and polished the air conditioner lines ) the alternator is from Summit Racing.the trans is rebuilt w/ a B&M shift kit . I used plenty of soap & water one the engine bay when the motor was pulled. It all came out very well to me its a clean and simple look I could ask for more...... hope you rnjoy the pics..

That engine looks great. What type of performance increase did you get?
|
Thanks, the truck has a 3:07 limited slip rear ( not big off the line but damn fast on the open road) I would say the performance is decent, not neck snapping but very nice , better pickup no lage when you get on it I don't really push it to much it runs very strong and has NEVER left me stranded anywhere

somtimes a clean engine compartment gets more attention than a killer paint job.
