I like the Moog urethane ones myself.

I did a little FAQ article on swaybar installs and there is a good picture of them in the article.

I have all the Moog part numbers for different size if you wind up needing them.

The neat deal about the Moog stuff is that it's available from any parts store right over the counter, without ordering it.

On my current truck, I'm using PST polygraphite bushings that were given to me by a guy who bought a complete PST kit, but went with fancier bushings so he didn't ever use them. I haven't driven the truck yet though, so I don't know how they'll compare.

Thanks Tx. I just went online to Advance Auto part sand Autozone and couldn't find Moog stuff. I might call them and ask.

yea . some part number for those moog would be great .. im running a 1-1/16 inch bar ... need to get rid of the crappy plain rubber bushings

Update- I just went back online to Advance and found the MOOG part number for a 1 1/16" bar. It's K6169.

I got the Enegry suspension poly ones for my 1 1/16 bar. I like them.

Definatley go polyurethane. Lasts longer and is a little stiffer.

If money is no object, go with greaseable brackets and graphite-impregnated poly bushings for squeak-free precision. ES is good and available thru summit if you have the size down. ES site has the sizes on one page or two.

Thanks guys. I took Tx Firefighter's recommendation and ordered the Moog brand (K6169 for 1 1/16" bar) from pep Boys. Should have them this week.

The ES graphite-poly set I bought at a local parts store had 2 greasable and 2 non-greasable. I convinced the parts guy to let me make a set of four greasable for the same price (1.25" bar).

If you use the stock brackets on a lowered truck, I don't think the fittings would last very long. I mounted those two bushings straight to the frame.

No squeaks yet (haven't lubed them) and still feels tight with about a year of DD duty.

Mike, Which fittings won't last?. I am thinking about doing the same thing you did by mounting directly to the frame after knocking the rivets off.

You'll be OK then. The zert fittings would get knocked off the first time you bumped a curb if you kept the stock brackets with a lowered truck. You can see them here with little black caps:

Is the 1 and 1/16 the small size bar :confused:

I really like that low profile look. That nut looks super close in that pic. What is the best way to remove the factory rivets from the frame?.

As you can see in the pic, I didn't completely remove mine yet. I ground off the rivet heads with an angle grinder and pried the brackets off. I'll take the rest out someday:rolleyes:

Not sure what nut you're talking about. There's more pics in my sig link showing different angles. There's plenty of clearance everywhere.

BTW: To line up for drilling the new holes, I bolted the bar/bushings to the arms and marked where the front bushings lined up well on the frame (there's some room for adjustment fwd/aft).
