My glovebox radio install
I have had my stereo this way for a while but I didn't shoot a pic until today. It's a Sony unit that has a plug in for a wired remote on the back. I mounted the remote on my steering column for easy access. The truck has Vintage Air so the glovebox is quite small to say the least. The radio may seem like it's in an odd spot but it had to be high enough to clear the heater box and the other A/C components. It couldn't go in any further because it touches the firewall. I just did a little math and some guessing to get the location right for the radio opening. Once I slid the unit in I covered the exposed parts with black fabric.

That truck is my inspiration to start and finish mine! I had to save a copy of your pic to my wallpaper to remind me of what mine will turn out like if I ever get it finished!!

That's the exact radio I have in my Camaro! :cool:
On another note...I want your truck. Can I stea...hmm hmm, borrow it for a really long time? Please? :D No joke man - that is really my sweet spot. My wife would beat me if I started on another like that. |
