'69 CST/10 in KY
Howdy! Ran across this '69 CST/10 in the church parking lot a couple of days ago, and tomorrow it will be mine. 56K miles, repainted about 20 years ago, but otherwise stock and virtually showroom new. The 81 year old seller put 4K miles on it in 18 years. 350, bucket seats, factory cruise, 3 gas tanks, perfect inside and out. I don't have the skill to do a body-off restore, but I can write a check!
Much to learn, as this is my first truck and first Chevy. Live in a Ford town (Louisville), with two Fords in the driveway, but don't hold that against me :). Gotta find a local collectors club and maybe a little car show for giggles. Most of all, tho, I just love the truck. 8 year old son asked me today why I kept staring at a picture of it. Not that I ever plan to sell this thing, but how do I discern a value for the truck? NADA, and comparing to what others are selling for? Just curious. I'm afraid to get a fingerprint on this one, so now I need a C10 beater as a daily driver. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ckle/truck.jpg cheers |

Welcome to the board from West Tennessee. I'd say you did it right the first time. That's one slick truck. But don't be afraid to get finger prints on it or mud on the tires. The real fun of owning one of these trucks is driving it.

Welcome to the forum hairmanKaga. Please post some more pics of that beautiful truck for us to enjoy. Unfortunately the books don't show the value of these old trucks very well. You best bet is to get it properly appraised by a classic car appraiser.

Re: '69 CST/10 in KY
Been having a lot of fun with this truck for the last couple of days. Really hate to put it in the garage.
Thanks everyone for your kind words. A few more pics: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...kle/truck2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...kle/truck3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...kle/truck4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...kle/truck5.jpg Think this area could use a little cleaning. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...kle/truck6.jpg cheers! |
Re: '69 CST/10 in KY
Very nice! I'm kinda partial to the 69 and 70 CSTs, and own a 70. Yours appears to be a true, well kept time capsule. Could I ask a favor of you and get a picture of the turn signal lever/cruise switch? I believe that yours may be original, and very rare, especially if it works. I've been keeping an eye open for one for a while now, and a picture will help with my search. You can email it to awriser@yahoo.com if you want. Thanks!
