Looks like a delete plate of some sort. Anyone know what it's for?

Re: Anyone know what this is?
Can you get measurements? It looks like a louvered radio delete plate ;)
|
Re: Anyone know what this is?
What are the dimensions of it? At first look I'd call it a radio delete from the '47-'54 era
|
Re: Anyone know what this is?
9 1/8" X 2 11/16"
Also it;s not perfectly flat. There is a very slight curve to it side to side. |
Re: Anyone know what this is?
If it's curved then sdkid is probably right

Re: Anyone know what this is?
1947-1953 Chevy radio delete plates are smaller. They only
cover where the center of the radio comes out, and two bolts where the radio knobs would be. |
Re: Anyone know what this is?
I think the radio delete in a volkswagon bug was louvered
|
Re: Anyone know what this is?
don't know what it is, but it is not a radio delete plate for 47 to 54. I just installed one in my 51

Re: Anyone know what this is?
Looks like a part out of the old buicks.Mabe the 1950s . Color reminds the older Buicks.my .02%

I kinda was thinkin that too but it's solid....no holes for air flow:confused: It was in a box of parts the PO of my 71 gave me. He didn't know what it was either. Hey maybe it's something so rare that it will finace my restore when I find a buyer! :haha: |
Re: Anyone know what this is?
It's the part I've been looking for. It's a radio delete plate for a 1928 Winnebego. I'll give you $5600.00 because it needs to be repainted and the nuts are missing off the studs.

Re: Anyone know what this is?
I will double that offer, it was also used on the Nash Airflow convertible open road camper boat conversion, I have been trying to finish it's restore now for over 45 years

Re: Anyone know what this is?
:haha: Sounds like a museum piece to me.....whadya think?
|
Re: Anyone know what this is?
It almost looks like the fender vent for a "69 Nova...
|
Re: Anyone know what this is?
Could have been from an appliance rather than automotive. Hmmmph! May know tomorrow.Hmmph!
|
Re: Anyone know what this is?
Almost looks like a body moulding off an old Buick or Oldsmobile. Maybe there were multiple ones instead of just one? Other than that I have no clue
|
Re: Anyone know what this is?
Hang it on the garage wall...sooner or later someone will know the answer.

Ok I found something else in my box-o-parts! Looks like it could be from an older truck? Any ideas on this one?

Re: Anyone know what this is?
The louvered part----cooling fins for a flux capacitor...
The heater controls actually do look similar to Willys wagon/truck stuff from the 50's. |
