Stickers? too "old School"?

1 Attachment(s)
Well I,v had my 68 for quite a few years and have just now decided to try entering it in a local truck show here this Saturday. What do Ya'll think of the sticker rail along the frame? It covers the T-case and Tranny drop. Is it too tacky or should I leave it? Every sticker has an item on the truck so they do represent the truck right.
Stickers, yes, no? Ya'll would know what looks OK on a truck
Thanks.

little to "high schoolish" for me, I put all my stickers on the tool box! I would like to see more pics of your truck...

I don't think you will have any troubles at the car show with them though!

I go to a lot of shows. The sticker thing for brands is pretty much out. I hear this all the time. Why should I advertise for someone that gives me nothing. Most guys anymore won't even put decals on their shocks. I have 4 stickers on my truck, A Chevy racing sticker on the back glass, an American flag and a POW MIA sticker on the back glass. A Perma cool sticker on my fan shroud just to let people know to keep their hands out of there. Your truck really does look good tho either way.

I am gonna be the odd man out here.

Your truck will undoubtably be in a modified class so I say that fit just fine and look good to.

I really think they may help in the show.

If your truck we more stock then I agree with the rest they should go but, IT just plain is custom. An Looks GR8 the way it is.

RJ22...:)

that is one hell of a *****in truck dude:metal:

as for the stickers let me start by saying, do what you want with your truck, if you like it then thats all that matters and plus how many other trucks at a show are going to have stickers on the rails??? itll make yours stick out more and people will say hey look at the stickers and go look at it

i vote to keep them

I don`t run stickers. But,I think they are a nice "show" touch.Like a sign board or mirrors under the hood. You have all that stuff on the truck,so I think it`s pretty sworthy.Chevy doesn`t give us any money, but we put their emblems and logos on our trucks.

By the looks of the detail in the rest of the truck I'm sure the T/C and drop look just as good.

I personnally like seeing that kind of stuff.

I agree with others...loose the stickers.

Re: Stickers? too "old School"?

I put my performance part stickers/decals on my fan shroud. Not noticeable unless you open up the hood. Then you can see all the parts I got on it. LOL

Re: Stickers? too "old School"?

Good looking truck! I agree with the rest...it's your truck.
My personal stand is when the sticker people start paying me to advertise for them I may put a few on. I do use some stickers, but they are military, generic, or patriotic.

One little trick I really like is to go to an office supply store and buy a few sheets of the magnetic stuff. It comes in 8"X11" sheets. I put my stickers on this, cut around the sticker with a pair of scissors, and you have a portable sticker! Put it on, take it off, and move it around. No damage to paint, and you can put it on anywhere there's steel.

When was the last time some one actually put stickers on a truck for a show? I can't remember. That may put you over the top and take a trophy. Something to think about. Kerry
