$75000 truck?
Its pretty but is it really worth 75-grand? stock LT-1 and 700R4...front subframe from a 76 camaro (wonder why they replaced that...crash maybe?) AC, PS, 4-wheel disc brakes, digital guages, leather interior, NICE paint. top is chopped and its lowered (both of which deminishes value for me).

I think it looks like ass and I wouldn't give $7,500 for it, myself. That truck would get laughed out of any respectable real-life auction.

Decent looking truck. Not my style. No reason to pick it apart though. When you have any vehicle built the cost adds up quickly. Maybe the front sub was put in to modernize the suspension? Would I pay 75k if I had that kind of money? No, but I would have one built to my style.

For one thing, it ain't restored...as the seller stated. There's so much that isn't stock, that using the term "restored" is an outright lie. It might be recently constructed, but that is what it is...a construction, or a fabrication.
Restoring an item, whatever it is, means that one has returned to to an "as new" condition. In the case of vehicles, that means the body, the paint, the interior, the wheels, tires, drivetrain, etc. You don't cut the top and splice it back together, when you restore one. You don't do flame paint jobs, when you restore. And, I don't recall that any of the 67-72's came with LT-1's or 700R4's. Maybe it's just a matter of symantics, but I don't mind flaming someone for use of the term "restore" when I know better. |

Where you gonna put the lumber and cement blocks from the building supply store. Truck pretty or not should still be used as a truck. Just my opinion I could be wrong.

I agree whole heartadly... wheres the pic's, If I was selling a rig for that kinda dough, I for sure would show why..... I dont mind its stance and color choices, however I agree , why wreck a truck bed for what it is?

"Restore." To refurbish or bring back to the original state. In the strictest sense of the meaning ....
"Restore" to refurbish or bring back to the original state .... NOT HOW WE THOUGHT THAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN, BUT HOW IT WAS! What we see today are allot of over restored restorations. Fit, finish and detail way beyond what would have been possible for someone to have bought new. This also lowers the value of what is supposed to be an original 100 point restoration in the purist sense of the meaning although most of us dismiss this fact. Reproduction parts abound most of these vehicles like a christmas tree with too much tinsel but they are excepted as original regardless of their poor quality. People like to see their favorite ride restored, decked out and pretty "BUT DO NOT CALL THIS RESTORED." A true 100 point restoration will use only original parts that were made by the correct manufacturer and fit, finish and detail as what was offered when the vehicle was produced and sold new at that time. In the last 20 years I've seen less then a hand full of vehicles that would fit the true meaning of "Restored." esll. :) |

If they really want that much they'd better start posting a hell of a lot more pics than that ONE. LT1 is so boring, at least bring something new to the table for that kind of money.
