Is anybody using these wheels on a 67-72 chevy truck? and our 5 lug bolt patern is 5x5 right?

5-lugs for GM trucks are 5x5 pattern.
6-lugs for GM early trucks are 6x5.50 pattern.

Several board members have thCoys wheels on their trucks. I have a set & had them on my 74 for a couple of pics but there sitting in the garage now. They did require the use of a 'spacer' to prevent interference on the rotors hub (2nd pic). The lugnuts they send w/the wheels are CRAP!

They are priced right but the deal with the center cap suck...

I've got the polished Coys on my truck. The finish on the 20's (rear) isn't that bad, but the finish on the 18's (front) is absolutely terrible. Plus the spacer issue.

I have a set of 18's. took over 12oz to balance 2 of them.
I'd spend the money and buy better wheels next time.

Depending on what wheel combo you want they are about 1,200 for the set

I have been thinking about a set of Coy's but now I don't know. With all this negative feed back I'm going to keep looking. I want a deeper looking wheel.
Here is a link that I posted in Photochop.

Re: Coy's Wheels. Anybody usining them?

I don't know what amount of weights were used on my 20's but I don't remember it being excessive. The main frustration would be the center caps not fitting on the front rotors hub 'snout' & the cheap chrome lugnuts. That was easily overcome by a small spacer..... For some, it might be a challenge to get the spacers. The lugnuts are trash. Plan on getting some Gorrilla locks or other high quality alternative.

I got lucky & snagged a couple of extra spacers that a fellow board member had made using info from yet another board member (that's why I love this place.... people helping people).

Here's some.

The first pic is so you can see what I meant by my front rims don't have a nice finish. The back ones are alright though. Also ,from what I've seen the gray wheels look better ,and appear to be better quality than the polished ones. Just my 2 cents.

here a pic of the grey center wheels, if anyone has there copy of the cad file for the spacer, please send it to me. I lost the original file form my computer.
I got layed-off and lost it on the computer I had at work. Thought I had a copy of it but don't. Thanks in advance
. I have 18's & 20's and don't have excessive weights to get them to balance ( whoever mountd and balances them can break them down and spin the tire and recheck, it may be a little time consuming but it can be done. The reason for lots of weights is usually due to the tire not the wheel.)

Re: Coy's Wheels. Anybody usining them?

Nice truck! I don't believe I've seen this one yet.
Can you share with us your wheel and tire specifics and are you running a rear notch?
Despite the varying feedback on the Coys, I've decided to order a set in January, but keep flip-flopping on 18/20 vs a 20/20 fitment.
The stance of your truck does the 18/20 fitment proud.

I agree the 20" and 18" make the truck. Looks great.

Re: Coy's Wheels. Anybody usining them?

What a tease! No 20" x 10" and only 18" x 8" and 18" x 9.5 in a 5 x 5" bolt pattern. I've emailed A.E./BOSS to see if there are any plans for a 20" x 10" or 20" x 8.5" in a 5 x 5" pattern. I'll keep you guys posted on their reply.
That wheel is wicked and I know the A.E. Boss wheels are made in the USA and typically of decent quality.
