I thought about putting this in the "bad deals" section, but I got my money back and have no ill will towards the guy. I bought a door from him through ebay and read in his seller info where he said it could take up to three weeks to ship (it's just him and his wife, they have to fabricate their own crates for big stuff, etc...). Well, three weeks came and went. Three phone calls went unreturned. I finally got a response to an email sent through ebay that said the shipping delay was due to the illness of the seller. That was the first I'd heard of it, and that came 22 days after my payment had been received.

Of course, I don't want to be a jerk -- I really hope the guy is ok. And on the positive side, I got all my money back within 24 hours of responding to his email. Also, the reason I bought from him in the first place was his price was really good ($60 for an empty OE door that looked to be in really good shape). So I just wanted to pass this along and see if anybody else has had good experiences with him...he's got so much stuff listed; if this was a fluke thing, I might buy from him again in the future.

I don't think so...when I got the email notification for my credit, his name was listed as Ronald Mehrens.

I got parts from here about 2.5 years ago and everything was fine. Came on time and packed overly well for stuff that I thought couldnt get damaged to start with. I got a BBC serpentine set-up and the guy thru in the water pump which wasnt in the original parts list on the auction. Even packed the bolts in a seperate box.

I guess you never know.....maybe he was sick?

Yeah, this seems to be a fluke...he really doesn't have any negative feedback, so he obviously doesn't make a habit of this kind of thing. I hope he's ok.
