Blazer Top Dimensions (1972)

I have purchased a stock top for a 1972 blazer and it is located about 4 hours
away. I would like to transport it in the bed of a 1996 Chev full size truck with a short/wide bed. First question, does anyone have the dimensions on a top. Second question, can anyone tell me if this will work and or share any recommendations.

Thanks,
Bill

I've read here guys putting the top on the bed rails of a pickup backwards and using C-Clamps to secure it to the bed rails.

Blazer top is approx 70 1/2 wide by 103 long. I'm not sure what the truck bed is going to measure.

The C-clamp idea would only work with a single wall top.

Best bet would be to put it on a trailer.

Do you know if the following will work; if I turn the top upside down, will it fit between the bed rails and if so how far down will it go?

Thanks,
Bill

I think upside down may damage the top due to bumps and jolts in while driving.

Try using a couple of 2x4's across the bed of the truck then lay the top on top of them, ....MAN THIS BLAZER WAS : (
a great buy ! remember to face it backwards so you get less wind resistance.

Whats up simon hope all is good :metal:

That's the best way I've seen.
