Differential ID help

Does anyone know what differential would be in a 2000 S10? I know it's a 4.10 ratio but I don't know the model. I have found literature that says up to 1997 they used a 7.5 or 7.625 ring gear diameter. Thanks.

I believe it is the 8.5" 10 bolt

what engine do you have? if you have 4.10s, im guessing you have a 2.2. it would be a 7.625 then.

the 8.5 was used in zr2s and only a few reg s10s with the 4.3

Re: Differential ID help

Yeah, the 8.5 was kinda rare, mostly 5 speed 4.3's had them.

Re: Differential ID help

It will be your standard 7 5/8 S10 rear probably. The 8.5 has a round cover on it, and the axle tubes get bigger right before they go into the pumpkin.

Re: Differential ID help

mines a 2000 and has the 8.625..think it may only be in ZR2's . A majority of the regular s10's will have the 8.5 if its a 99+ and has rear disc brakes.
