How much lift for 33" tires on my 72 K25?
How much lift do I need to put 33X10.5's on my 72 GMC K25?

you could probly get by without a lift. but other then that a 2-4in lift would absolutely clear it

Most tend to do a 4" lift for 33's. Gives the truck a nice stance with no tire rubbing.

Message Randy (Teeitup), he stance looks very nice with a 2 1/2" lift and 33's. Most people have to lift 4" only when they go 12.50's or wider. With 10.50's, I think you will want the look of the 2 1/2" lift. Trevor

Thanks for the info. Any brands you guys suggest or think I should stay away from. I have a lot of experience with high end rock crawling Jeeps but want to do it right the first time.

Re: How much lift for 33" tires on my 72 K25?
My only experience is with the Skyjacker Softride 2 1/2" front springs I put on several years ago. The steel bushing inserts were just a tad too long to fit into the front spring hanger, so I had to grind off a small amount for them to fit. I have been very happy with them. Quality is excellent, ride is good, and the poly bushings have never squeaked. BTW I am running 33/12.50-16.5 BFG AllTerrains on 9.75" wide rims. No rubbing, but that doesn't mean much because I trimmed my fenders a long time ago, when I had 11.00-15 Armstong TruTracs on 15x8" wheels.

i gotta put in another for the skyjacker. my 4in softride is great. IMO it rides better then the stock height.:metal:

I have zero lift on my 67 and it cleared 33x12.50s on Eagle Alloy 16.5x9.75 rims with no problem.

Actually it wasn't a tight squeeze at all. To be fair I should say that my front springs don't seem to have the negative arch that I've seen on a lot of other trucks though. And maybe being that its a closed knuckle and doesn't have as tight of a turning radius helped. It did look pretty tough, but I sold them to go with a set of stock wheels because it was a little cumbersome not having power steering, and I like the stock look anyways.

It depends on backspacing as well.

My k20 fits 33x12.5 tires easily, no ill effects on anything. Thats the way it was when i got it and have left it like that so far. I even have that crappy negative arch that chevies get.
