Fender Trimming

Hello everyone, I usually lurk over in the 67-72' sections, but I need some help with an 2009 1500 P/U. Details are as follows: I lifted this truck for a friend of mine and she had to have 35x13.50x20's (metric size of course) and they rub the rear of the front fenders pretty badly. I am looking to cut out or fold over the lower/inner corner of the fenders.... has anyone done this yet? I need some help/insight/pics, anything to help me from ruining a brand new truck. :waah:

Also, she does not want to do a body lift unless absolutely necessary. I also dont think that 2" front spacers would do much for the clearence, just lower the point of contact.

Any thoughts??

Thank you in advance.

Fender or fender liner? My buddy at the local tire shop cuts the liners all the time. Not so much on the actual fender though.

The actual fender, I have trimmed the liner off, but now the tire is rubbing the paint off of the fender itself. The older trucks were just "open" behind the liner and that would give clearence, but this one the liner is just covering the metal (sits right on top of it)

might be able to lightly massage it with a hammer and then paint over it, it shouldnt be noticeable.

Thank you, I looked at the truck again and its pretty. She is looking at doing a 1.5" body lift to add the necessary clearance... ill keep you posted.
