cast iron 4bl intake with q jet carb and good sm465 case
 

cleaning out the shop and stuff i dont need . the intake is off a 69 350 i think and the carb is off the same motor . carb worked great when i pulled off running truck no leaks nothing stupid probley would need a rebuild since its been sitting . the intake has been cleaned and painted black . the sm465 case is good has all the parts in it but it was left out side dont know the condition of the insides .

I'm gonna guess that if would depend on the casting numbers. I just learned that some of these intakes have the same numbers as the old Corvette intakes.

In case I'm wrong here is a bump for ya.

I will have to look at that . dont know much about this motor it came off of except it ran strong and didnt smoke

I just sold a 465 for $200 CAN. Complete and in reasonable condition. Was outside and probably needed some love.

Nick is correct...some of the truck intakes were the same castings
as Corvette (especially the '68 327). If yours is, top dollar can be
had on eBay or the Corvette forums if advertised as a restoration part.
However...and it's a big one...it's worth $ only if the part is not
cracked. If you haven't done it already, pull the tin off the
bottom (don't lose the pegs!!), chisel all of the crap off it and
have it magnefluxed.

I went through four before I found a good one. :confused:
BTW--even if it doesn't cross to Corvette, there's plenty of folks
restoring older engines...advertise including the casting number.

its not cracked already checked it plus it came off a running good motor thats now in my blazer i just went to aluminum intake and holly carb . i will have to pull the casting numbers off it . my sm465 i have is probley only good for the case and top the tail shaft were it goes in the the tcase is stripped off i took a better look at it the other day was in the pile of blazer i baught for parts deal .
