I have a 1994 blazer with a vortec v6 and it runs good but the transmission leaks really really bad. it leaks all out right between where the motor and tranny connects.

I would guess a front pump seal at worst - might get lucky and its the dipstick
I would tell you to pull it and inspect it
It needs pulled if it is the front pump seal

I've had a lot of people tell me its the seal but they also say its a really hard job to fix. what does it consist of to fix the seal?

You have to remove the engine, or transmission (easier than the engine) to gain access to a front pump seal. If your not certain where it is coming from it may be worth taking to a repair shop and paying a little bit to have them diagnose where the leak is coming from, if it's leaking as bad as you say it is it should be pretty easy to spot the leak.

On a gen 1 S10 Blazer??? On the gen 1s with the 4.3L, you can't get to the top transmission to block bolts unless you disconnect the motor mounts and jack up the body. .

Front seal, but what made it go bad?? The bushing is probably worn out in the front pump. I ALWAYS put a new bushing in the pump if I am going threw the trouble of pulling the trans to replace a seal. I do this for a living and it costs me money to repeat the job so I always try to do it right the first time.

4l60e's are notorious for a brass bushing leaking. It's probably not the seal. I've seen plenty of brass bushings fail. You can replace the bushing yourself.

If you have to jack the body of the frame you aren't doing something right. I've done trannies in alot of these and have never once had to jack the body off the frame, or unhook the motor mounts. If you have access to a hoist and the right equipment this can be like a 2 1/2 hour job, but if you don't and don't know what you are doing u r looking at 6-8 hours. Maybe more.

keep in mind the pump to case Oring could be leaking. or the snout of the converter is worn. either way removal for closer inspection is in order

From my years on the S10 forums, lifting the body to remove the transmission isn't all that uncommon... it is either lift the body or remove the exhaust and transmission crossmember. The trouble with removing the exhaust is the y-pipe bolts attached to the exhaust manifold freeze/rust in place.
