1972 Chevy Avalanche

I was browsing ebay and saw this truck, reminds me of a 1972 version of a Chevy Avalanche

I'm curious how they enclosed beneath the hatch, maybe I'll email them and see if they will post a pic

The side and back view are just not my taste. I can appreciate the work put into it. And wish any of our projects were that "nice"... but something just doesn't quite flow right for me.

Everytime I see Redoak Tx, I think of James Blanton.. maybe thats the issue?

Definitely unique.

Not for everyone but I rather like it. I think I would have used a pickup back window though. But keeping the angle of the back of the cab as is.

Whats terrible is my wife likes it. Makes me wonder how cobbled up it is with newer power seats and power windows

It looks cool and I like how they did it but the back end of it just doesn't seem right even though its a suburban thats cut off.

Still looks good.

James Blanton does leave a sour taste in the mouth. I kinda like it but I think I would have grafted the the tail end of a standard truck bed on the rear with stock pic-up tail lights & tailgate and filled in the rear cab/door space flush so it flowed better. Just my opinion.

I think leaving a Suburban would be a better idea. It seems pointless to me and looks silly, like an Avalanche. If you've ever owned a Suburban you'd know how great it is to have all this cargo and/or seating area all under one roof. Why eff that up?
