Door wont unlock

I have 1982 Chevy Blazer with Power Locks, cant open it from the outside with a key, with the power lock switch or pulling up on the lock. Any suggestions?

Have you had it apart and put it back together or something? Sounds like the linkage is off or crossed or something. You can get the trim panel off with the door shut, which is what you'll need to accomplish. Then you'll be able to see in there and find out what the issue is.

I had this very same issue on a '84 blazer on the passenger door. The problem is down in the actual latch mechanism where the lock rod raises and lowers this little lever in there. Its a huge pain in the butt. You have to get the door panel off and get down in there with something to pry it up. Let me tell you it can be tough!!!! i ended up using a small pry bar and it was all i could do to un-jam it. It is a finger smashing Bi*%$ too so be careful. After i got it open, i lubed it up good, but didn't help at all. It did the same thing again. Its something in there that is either out of alignment or bent.

Do any of the squares have pressed-in plastic bushings in these linkage joints?
