clutch issues, need help

My truck hasnt been on the road yet but if it were, it would be a PITA to deal with. When putting it into first and getting ready to feather the clutch out, i literally only have an inch and a half of play till its all the way out. What would i need to adjust to give me "more" clutch to use instead of a cars clutch.
Pics appreciated!
Thanks guys

My nomenclature doesn't match yours so please explain.

"feather the clutch out." Is this when you're releasing the clutch pedal to engage the clutch?

"have on inch and a half of play till it's all the way out". Are you saying the clutch stays engaged until the pedal is 1-1/2" from the top.

Finally, I'm not familiar with the term more clutch. Maybe someone else can chime in.

I have about 1-1/2" of free play before the throw out bearing starts to engage the pressure plate and begins to release the clutch. I haven't measured the distance it takes to release from the top or re-engage from the bottom but it's the way it was from the factory. Most of the time it's the function of the pressure plate but worn parts can affect it.

The guy i bought it from said he put a new clutch in, by feather it out im talking about like the mixed ratio of letting out the clutch and giving it fuel. what I mean about the inch and a half of play is i can let the clutch all the way out until the last inch and a half and thats all the room i have too play with. by more clutch im wonder if im able to adjust it to for me to be able to more than just the inch and a half of space which is when im guessing the pressure plate releases the clutch. i hope this helped so you can help me haha

Have you looked at your adjustment on the clutch rod? This is the part that pushes on the clutch fork. (look down by the oil filter) There are 2 nuts holding the clutch rod in place.
