72 hard top mounting

so here is my question i adding new heating vents to the rear of my blazer and so i need to mount something in the side panels over the wheel wells, but they need to be farely removable so i can get to the under bolts to remove the top. i am wondering if anyone has done this or something simular or has any ideas.

Sounds like you need a single wall top instead of a double wall.

I have wondered about that, are the single wall more like the 76 blazers where they bolt down from the top of the bed rail?

Yep, although the double walls work fine if you don't mind taking the side panels on and off.

I do like the double wall for the insulation and noise reduction, but it is heavy. I don't mind take the panels off either just trying to figure out the best way to put in the speakers and heater vents. I'm thinking about splitting them in half long way and removing the top piece to take the top off.
