Step on that lil' button way over on the left side of the floor and it'll go out. Pulling back on the turn signal stalk won't do it. .. not bein' a smart ass(maybe just a little;))
I'm trying to remember how long it's been since dimmer switches were on the floor?

"The last vehicle to have it on the floor was the 1991 Ford F-Series pickup."
.... this a blurb from ANSWERS.COM in response to my "what was the last floor mounted dimmer switch" GOOGLE.

Except when people get a bit impatient with the brights on while I'm shifting gears. Can't wait for me to free a foot up

My girlfriend wants me to put a floor dimmer switch in her '07 cobalt. I think its her favorite part of my gmc.
Does anyone remember seeing the foot print cover to match the gas pedal?

I had '62 Morgan that had two dimmer switch devices, one for the high beams, and the other lubricated the kingpins with crankcase oil:smoke:

Dimmer switches and vent windows are two of my favorite things that they got rid of....

Love the floor dimmer. If GM offered it as an option in new rigs I’d buy it.

I had a 68 Mustang that had a floor pedal next to the floor dimmer. It actuated a plunger that squirted the windshield with washer fluid and triggered the wipers once every time you pushed it. If you just tapped it and not push it fully it would only do the wipers. It was so handy in light rain.

Kick panel floor vents in old cars really clear out a hot car in the summer too.

I used to have a BLAST with that pedal in my '67 'Stang! Back in the day when I was in high school we used to um, partake of a particular herb if you know what I mean...

You should have seen the looks my passengers gave each other when the wiper traversed across the glass ONCE, for no reason at all! No one wanted to say anything, they were never sure if they saw what they saw.

I finally let them in on the secret a few years ago at a friend's wake. We laughed so hard we cried.
