Corvette (Ls6/bat wing) oil pan

Has anyone run one of these in a C10? I can pick up one for pretty cheap, but not sure how well it will clear the crossmember. I'm sectioning 2" out of the xmember and can notch it slightly, but Im wondering how the fitment might be around the frame and fbody headers. If it wont go I'll just go with a fbody pan.

Those pans are cheap for a reason, they almost never fit anything but a corvette. F body pan is generally more user friendly.

the bat wing pan is one of the ones needed on most conversions, the other ones that i see that people want are the pans that come on the trucks, i wish i could tell you about the clearence but i cant, you might check on ls forum they have alot of great info there for just about any kind of swap.

Rumor is it will hit the lower control arms...

You can make a Vette pan work, The engine/trans has to be moved up. I put a 5.3 in a lowered 71 C10 back in 02 & used a Vette pan, The oil drain points right at the cross member, It holds 7 quarts of oil....Makes oil changes interesting & expensive.

If I had to do it over I would use this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NA...2593/?rtype=10 Comes with a pick-up tube, windage tray, dipstick & tube, & bolts.....New GM stuff for $150!

Thats kinda what I was thinking. Im moving my lowers forward 3/4"-1" so it might clear.

I think with my measurements the lh8 pan will hang down approximately 1" below a 1.5" sectioned crossmember. A ctsv pan would be right around even and the fbody pan will give you .5" of spare room.... all with dirty dingo mounts. Ill probably just go for the fbody pan, but a complete batwing pan with pickup tube and all for $50 is hard to pass by!

ttt for this one, not much info and I can't find any pics of a batwing pan in a c10 anywhere.

Anybody else try the vette batwing with 87+ dirty dingo slider mounts in a 67-72?

I don't have the pan but if fits I can get one cheap.
