4WD Projects

Why are there never any good deals on a 4x4 shortbed project for sale in South Carolina? All the good sounding ones are 500 miles or more away.

500 miles hasn't stop me so far, I'll be doing a round trip of over 2000 miles soon to get me a "new" truck :D

Just keep searching, something will come up in your area sometime, good luck :)

I'm hoping in getting there sometime before Randy starts parting out the blazer  :D

Most likely will be within a month or so, will stick around for a day or two maybe?, I will be picking up a stepside bed south of Topeka as well.
Paul.

Susie told me I ought to fix it up, she came out to the lot and looked at it and thought I bought it when she was gone, he he. I could have fun parting it out!!! :D

I have several beds now. Trying to pick the best pieces of each. Got a bed from Texas that had a very nice floor but the bedsides were wrecked. Could not tell til it got here and then had it blasted. I should show you a pic of that one. Another Texas rustfree bed. True, no rust but you gotta pull the Yugo out of the side to find the bed. Nice primer job though.
I did get a very nice bed from HJAlbert in Phoenix. Great guy. Have not seen him on here lately.
Let me know when you are here and we will come over.

I drove 1650 miles round trip to get a bed and frame. I guess it is all about how bad you want it. :D

Like the other guys said, 500 isn't unusual. I just made a 1200 mile roundtrip just for a parts truck........Zoomy

trip

When I lived in Charleston, SC a few years back. I had a 78 Camaro that was rusted out underneath. Had a good drive train. I looked for two years for an old truck. Couldn't find squat. sold the Camaro to a friend. Two weeks later I saw two different trucks for sale. Go figure. On the serious side though, I just picked up my latest project in Arkansas. Twelve hundred miles each way. Wootdog
