Wow sweet truck and hard to find! If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for it? I wish I could find one like that around here! And all the right options! Nice find!

No truck now,but yours resembles the '72 BBC SWB Highlander I had that was solid Ochre. Mine only had the upper trim.

Re: pics of factory 71-72 short/super/402's
my favorite 72 super swb 402 ever: Sameyrasmea's... Hands down my favorite. But, I'll let him tell you the details.
Here's the link he originally posted - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=325467 EDIT: one note I hadn't mentioned in our previous conversations, and you may be aware - the funky a/c bracketry is because this was original a Fremont truck/subsequent registered in CA truck, and had a smog pump mounted in the empty spot there in front of the passenger side valve cover. hard to find part - or you can yank off the oddball smog pump bracketry and replace it with standard non-CA emissions bracketry for the a/c. |

Did Chevrolet offer the small block 400 as an option? I know they were produced from 1970-1980. I have seen then in late 70's trucks.
