LOWER!

ItsNotABlazer 06-20-2003 04:24 PM

I agree with everyone here. Since its 2wd lower it. I am not a fan of lifted 2wd trucks. I have both a lowered and a lifted truck but one is 2wd and one is 4wd. :D Besides if you raised it people couldnt see the louvers. :flag:

Yup, drop it! You have to show those louvers:D crazyL

Lower a 2WD, Lift a 4WD

ripper78chevy 06-20-2003 07:05 PM

if you ask me, that truck is exactly what i have been looking for sense i was 12. i would drop that truck in a heartbeat.

that and those trucks i think look WAY tighter dropped.

if you drop it and want to just try it out, get some old springs, cut one coil off each, flip the rear axle, and fix the camber with spacers at the top control arm.

Slam It!!!

BigBlack68 06-20-2003 09:38 PM

ok,im gonna lower it:D ,but i found a 3-5 drop and i was wondering if i could still steer? cause its got brand new 33's on it and i would like to keep them, but i still would like to turn, any one ever tried 3-5 on 33's?:metal:

BigBlack68 06-20-2003 09:39 PM

the 3-5 is only till i can afford bags:D

slam33 06-22-2003 11:33 AM

Gee, lifting it might make it look like a truck, don't want to do that. You can get a max of 1 1/2 on the front before you need to change the upper A-arms. With the 1 1/2 and some 32's you get about 3 1/2 " total on the front. The rear is easy.:bowtie:

SEVEND2 06-23-2003 06:08 AM

Scrape the Asphalt with it!!!!!

VTKidder 06-26-2003 01:50 PM

Just to be the a-hole, I'm going to say LIFT IT!!!! I think it'd look like poop, but I just like to argue now and again....

drop it :D

70 CST 4X4 07-02-2003 07:58 PM

Drop it on its nuts! Watch em stare!:metal:

68 Stepside 07-04-2003 02:07 PM

Hey...Welcome from Tampa...and LOWER IT!!! :D

RipMeyer 07-05-2003 09:01 PM

Its a TRUCK!! Why would you lower it? It looks great the way it is.

Porkchop 07-06-2003 07:15 PM

Swap in a 4x4 front end and lift it of course. Besides, if its 3/4 ton with eight lug wheels and you try to slam it you'll want to get all new suspension stuff. There are 4x4 parts for sale on the parts board.
If you do lower don't slam it, just make it have a slight rake or just drop it a few inches.:metal:

RandysGal 07-08-2003 01:28 PM

Slam it and you'll be able to get one of those " neat" hydraulic kits:rolleyes: Seriously, lower it but don't slam it. Lifting it would make you just another "off the road vehicle"

Zorro_sn 07-12-2003 04:51 PM

man just slam that fat bastard on the ground, i doubt those 33's are gonna work though, go with a 2/4 drop and they should work, anything lower will rub or worse, 4/6 or 5/7 will look totally wicked man....

Boones 07-14-2003 08:21 PM

sell the 33's and drop it about 6/7

lbbdoc 07-16-2003 09:00 PM

RipMeyer any truck looks way better slamed lifting trucks gust makes me want to barf!!!!!!!!!!
