'34 chevy

I'm looking at a 34 chevy half ton that is in need of some lovin. Any of you guys replaced the timber in one of these cabs with steel? Guy says that all the metal is cut for it to be done but it mostly looks like a stack of tube stock. Any advise? Thanks- Greg

I'm going to do mine as soon as I tear back into it. If you know how to work with metal and can align everything right it will be pretty easy.

I went through what your looking to do with my 35 Tall Cab. I did mine with steel tubing and it is very strong considering its now a roadster. I have it posted on here if your interested, check it out. Buy the way , I've been over to the Vintiques several times and its a blast. Good luck.

I think that steel tubing is the better way to go, My '36 Low cab has some wood that needs replaced.
